ICL (Implantable Collamer Lens)

The procedure is performed under local anesthetic, the flexible ICL is folded and inserted through a tiny incision in the cornea, and gently placed into the eye. The ICL unfolds and is then positioned behind the iris but in front of the natural lens of the eye. Once placed in the eye, the patient will not feel the ICL. The smaller surgical incision allows for quicker recovery.

The ICL is completely reversible as no corneal tissue is removed. ICL placement may require as little as 15 minutes. Most people do not feel the ICL within their eye. Up to 99% report satisfaction with vision after the procedure. ICL placement may require as little as 15 minutes. Most people do not feel the ICL within their eye.
