Is EVO ICL Safe? What You Need to Know
The EVO ICL has been used successfully for over 25 years and is FDA-approved. It’s made from Collamer®, a biocompatible material that your eye naturally accepts.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Will I feel the lens in my eye?
No. Once healed, you won’t feel the lens at all. It becomes part of your eye.
Can the lens move or fall out?
No. The lens is positioned securely behind your iris and remains in place.
What if my vision changes in the future?
The EVO ICL can be removed or replaced by a doctor if your prescription changes significantly. It’s completely reversible.
Are there side effects?
Most patients experience excellent vision with minimal side effects. Some report minor halos or glare around lights at night, especially in the first few months—these typically improve over time. Individual results vary.
Who is a Candidate?
EVO ICL may be a better option for patients who are not ideal candidates for laser vision correction. Unlike LASIK, no corneal tissue is removed. It can be especially helpful for people with higher prescriptions, thinner corneas, or dry eye concerns. EVO ICL is also removable and designed to deliver excellent visual performance.

Five Star Patient Reviews
I am now six months post ICL surgery and I couldn’t be happier with how Kovach took care of me. My cornea was too thin for Lasik and I’ve been wearing contacts for 35 years. With vision around -5.00 for each eye and some stigmatism, I was not going to be an easy patient. Seeing 20/20 still! I highly recommend considering ICL and Kovach for your eye surgery.
